I have owned Ocicats for a relatively short time, my first girl, Thickthorn Tansy arrived from Rosemary Caunter just before Christmas 2004. Prior to this I had been breeding and showing Siamese cats. I originally worked in the GCCF but after a couple of trips to the USA I decided that the ring judging format of showing was so much more fun. I was also attracted to TICA, The international Cat Association, as this is a genetic registry of cats and I am particularly interested in the genetics of cat colour and pattern.
I am the founder and President of The Spoticat club, a TICA chartered club in the UK. We run shows up to 4 times a year in the midlands and Southern part of the UK. I am a licensed Master clerk in TICA and am working toward the TICA judging program.
As well as my Ocicats I live with a Selkirk Rex long hair, a Japanese Bobtail, a black oriental and a 2 very rare Sokoke cats. Not to forget my 2 siamese alters....and Pippa the Giant Schnauser. In my "spare" time I work as a doctor!
